A STUDY ON THE COST-EFFECTIVENESS OF HEALTHCARE INTERVENTIONS AND ASSOCIATED PATIENT OUTCOMES

Author: Randeep Singh Chowhan ,Shivani Pal Yadav

Country: India

ABSTRACT
This study aims to comprehensively assess the cost-effectiveness of healthcare interventions and their impact on patient outcomes across diverse populations and healthcare systems. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, we conducted a systematic review of existing literature, followed by a prospective cohort study involving 5,000 patients from 50 healthcare facilities across 10 countries. The research employed advanced statistical modeling techniques, including machine learning algorithms, to analyze the complex relationships between intervention costs, patient outcomes, and long-term economic impacts. Our findings reveal that while certain high-cost interventions yield significant improvements in patient outcomes, their long-term cost-effectiveness varies substantially across different healthcare systems and socioeconomic contexts. Notably, we identified several low-cost interventions that demonstrate exceptional value in improving patient outcomes, particularly in resource-constrained settings. These results have profound implications for healthcare policy and practice, suggesting a need for more nuanced, context-specific approaches to healthcare resource allocation. The study also highlights the potential for innovative financing models to support the implementation of high-impact interventions in diverse healthcare environments. Future research should focus on developing adaptive frameworks for real-time cost-effectiveness assessment, incorporating emerging technologies and evolving patient needs. Our findings underscore the importance of integrating long-term economic analyses into healthcare decision-making processes, potentially reshaping how policymakers and healthcare providers approach intervention selection and implementation strategies.
By examining the interplay between cost-effectiveness, patient outcomes, and systemic factors, this study seeks to provide valuable insights for policymakers, healthcare providers, and insurers in optimizing resource allocation and improving overall health outcomes. Furthermore, this research will explore innovative methodologies for assessing cost-effectiveness that account for evolving healthcare technologies and changing patient demographics, potentially revolutionizing how we evaluate and implement healthcare interventions in the future.

EFFECTIVENESS OF ADVERTISING IN ENHANCING BRAND EQUITY: A REVIEW OF EMPIRICAL STUDIES

Author: Sonika Jani ,Pallavi Thakur

Country: India

ABSTRACT
This manuscript offers an exhaustive examination of the interplay between advertising and brand equity, emphasizing the way advertising influences the fundamental dimensions of brand equity. The results indicate that investments in advertising exert a favourable effect on brand equity by elevating perceived quality and brand loyalty, both of which are essential elements of brand value. Increased allocation of resources towards advertising not only augments perceived quality, as it conveys the organization's assurance in its offerings, but also cultivates brand loyalty. Furthermore, variables such as store image, perceived quality, and brand trust serve as mediators within this dynamic. The manuscript concludes with strategic recommendations for enterprises aiming to further enhance their brand equity through the implementation of efficacious advertising strategies.

CLIMATE SHOCKS AND MIGRATION FROM BIHAR: ESTIMATING PUSH FACTORS USING RAINFALL AND TEMPERATURE ANOMALIES

Author: Arpan Shree

Country: India

ABSTRACT
This study examines the role of rainfall and temperature anomalies as environmental push factors behind migration from Bihar during 2000–2025. Bihar is one of India’s most migration-intensive states, where agrarian dependence, recurrent floods, drought-like rainfall deficits, low non-farm absorption, and high rural population pressure make climate variability economically consequential. The study uses a district-panel design covering 38 districts over 26 years. Climate variables are derived from India Meteorological Department rainfall and temperature data, while migration pressure is estimated through Census migration tables, district socio-economic indicators, rural employment variables, and state-level migration evidence from official statistical sources. The empirical strategy applies district fixed-effects regression, year fixed effects, and interaction specifications to estimate whether rainfall deficits, rainfall excess, and positive temperature anomalies increase migration intensity. Results indicate that climate shocks are significantly associated with higher migration pressure. Rainfall deficit has the strongest effect in drought-prone south Bihar, while excess rainfall is more important in flood-prone north Bihar. Positive temperature anomalies also raise migration pressure, particularly when combined with rainfall stress. The findings suggest that migration from Bihar should be understood not only as a labour-market phenomenon but also as a climate-risk response. Policy must therefore integrate climate adaptation, rural employment, irrigation, flood management, crop insurance, and safe migration support.

Author:

Country: India

GENDER, SILENCE, AND RESISTANCE IN THE NOVELS OF VIRGINIA WOOLF AND ANITA DESAI

Author: Kumar Harsh

Country: India

ABSTRACT
Virginia Woolf and Anita Desai occupy distinct literary, historical, and cultural locations, yet their fiction shares a deep concern with women’s inner lives, social confinement, silence, and subtle forms of resistance. Woolf writes from the context of early twentieth-century British modernism, where patriarchal structures restrict women’s intellectual, emotional, and creative freedom. Desai, writing in postcolonial Indian English fiction, explores women’s psychological isolation within domestic, familial, and cultural structures. This study critically examines how gendered silence operates in selected novels of Woolf and Desai and how their female characters resist oppression through memory, interiority, withdrawal, speech, imagination, and self-recognition. The study argues that silence in their fiction is not merely absence or weakness; it is often a complex space of suffering, reflection, protest, and survival. Woolf’s experimental narrative techniques reveal the hidden pressures of patriarchy upon women’s consciousness, while Desai’s psychological realism exposes the emotional cost of domestic and social expectations. Through a comparative reading of Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, A Room of One’s Own, Cry, the Peacock, Where Shall We Go This Summer?, and Clear Light of Day, the study shows that both writers transform women’s silence into a literary mode of resistance against gendered domination.

Keywords: Virginia Woolf, Anita Desai, gender, silence, resistance, feminism, modernism, Indian English fiction, patriarchy.
